Construction
Starts on New Cottrill Arbutina HQ Building in Beaver
BEAVER,
PA, Jan. 28, 2010 – Construction of the new headquarters
building for Cottrill, Arbutina Professional Services, at
525-535 Third Street in Beaver, will start on Feb. 1, 2010.
“We
have every intention of taking occupancy by the first of
September this year,” said Dale Cottrill, the firm's president,
and one of the principals of building owner Third Street
Renaissance. “The building will be a major landmark on Beaver's
Third Street and a place we will proudly call home."
The
two-story building, at the site of the former J.T. Anderson
furniture store and more recently a medical management business,
will feature a handsome two-story brick finish. Retail tenants
will lease the first floor, while Cottrill Arbutina will
occupy the second floor, using a dedicated entranceway.
Part of the basement floor will be an attractive conference
room for staff training and client seminars.
The
new facility also will consolidate the firm's staff who
now work in separate offices in New Brighton and Chippewa
Township.
Cottrill
Arbutina is Beaver County's largest public accounting firm,
and last year was ranked by the Pittsburgh Business Times
as a "Top 20" regional CPA firm for the second
straight year. In 2008, the firm made news with its acquisition
of a tax and audit group from S.R. Snodgrass, A.C. In addition
to Cottrill, its shareholders are Tod Arbutina (managing
shareholder), Joseph Bevevino (vice president), John Ellsworth,
Thomas Helsing, Joel Martin and Lawrence Zahn.
Cottrill
Arbutina's longtime headquarters building on New Brighton's
Third Avenue was sold last year to Big Brothers Big Sisters
of Beaver County, which will take occupancy once Cottrill
Arbutina vacates. The firm will continue to maintain two
other offices in downtown Pittsburgh and Peters Township.
