Thomas J. Helsing - Shareholder

J. Helsing is a shareholder with Cottrill, Arbutina & Associates and serves
as the firm's chief operating officer. He is based in the
firm's Beaver office, and he leads the firm's Small
Business Services Group (SBSG).
his role as COO, Mr. Helsing is responsible for the
day-to-day operations of the firm. He and his staff
manage the areas of human resources and employee benefits
as well as accounts payable and receivable. He also
coordinated all of the myriad details surrounding
the firm's relocation to a new
building in Beaver's business district.
The Small Business Services
Group specializes in addressing the challenges of small
business owners by providing QuickBooks® financial software
consulting, general business consulting and outsourced bookkeeping.
Many companies today enjoy the time and cost savings associated
with outsourcing bookkeeping and payroll allowing the business
owner to focus on the "business" of running the business.
many years of senior level management experience in
a manufacturing setting, Mr. Helsing has a unique
perspective on how better accounting tools enhance
client performance. His resumé includes tenures
as a division general manager and as a sales and marketing
manager, including international sales, procurement
and plant engineering.
Before joining Cottrill
Arbutina, Mr. Helsing served as vice president and general
manager of a division of Thermatex Corporation in Newton
Falls, Ohio, a producer of high temperature refractory products.
In this role, he managed three manufacturing locations (two
in North America and one in Europe), employing 30 people.
He had full profit and loss responsibility in this role,
including creating and tracking budgets as well as supervising
engineering, quality control and manufacturing staff.
Earlier, from 1993 to
1997, he was vice president of sales at the Alliance
Machine Company in Alliance, Ohio, a manufacturer
of material handling equipment. He also spent two
years in Brussels, Belgium as manager of international
sales development for a division of Vesuvius International.
Helsing received his bachelor of science degree in
mechanical engineering from Geneva College. He resides
