Tod R. Arbutina is managing shareholder of Cottrill, Arbutina & Associates, a Pittsburgh Business Times “Top 25” public accounting firm. He also is managing member of Cottrill Arbutina Wealth Management Group, LLC*, a registered representative with LPL Financial and founder of Cottrill Arbutina Academy, an initiative to provide unbiased, independent financial education to the community.
With Big Four experience, and as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Mr. Arbutina has spent more than three decades as a CPA and business leader. He has been proﬁled in Kiplinger’s for his ﬁnancial planning acumen and since 2012, he has been named in Pittsburgh Magazine as a Five Star Wealth Manager and as one of the “best personal wealth managers in the Pittsburgh area.” The awards are based on 10 objective criteria associated with providing quality services to clients such as credentials, experience, and assets under management, among other factors**. In 2006, he was included in the Guide to America’s Best Financial Planners, published by the Consumers’ Research Council of America, based on a system that awarded points for education, years in practice and afﬁliations with professional associations.
In 2008, the Beaver County Foundation presented Mr. Arbutina and his partner Dale L. Cottrill, CPA with the Benjamin Franklin Entrepreneurship Award honoring local companies that best capture the founding father’s pioneering and entrepreneurial spirit.
Mr. Arbutina specializes in serving manufacturers, professional services, retail and non-proﬁt clients. He serves on a Marcellus Shale committee for the Pennsylvania Institute of Certiﬁed Public Accountants to help property owners understand the tax, estate, investment and retirement planning ramiﬁcations of windfall revenues they receive. Earlier in his career, he was a manager with Arthur Andersen & Co.
Mr. Arbutina is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certiﬁed Public Accountants and the Institute of Certiﬁed Financial Planners. He is a former board director of the Beaver Area Heritage Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Beaver County and as chair of its annual auction helped raise $100,000 over several years. Previously, he served in leadership roles with the Beaver County Red Cross and the Rotary Club of Beaver. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business.
