Pamela M. Roesch is a charter member of Cottrill Arbutina
Financial Services Inc.'s financial planning services
team that has grown to manage more than $30 million
in client assets.
Pam
takes a personal interest in mentoring women of all
professions and vocations, especially utilizing "after-hours"
time. She is a charter member and Beaver County chapter
representative of the Women's Business Network, Inc.,
providing support and assistance for entrepreneurial
and established women-owned businesses. She also furthers
women's understanding of finance and investments as
a mentor to the women of the Les Femme Stock Club.
In addition, she leads the firm's internship program
and has spent substantial advisory time with young
aspiring business women. Pam encourages others to
reach for their dreams and not to fear failure.
Pam
also has a distinctive commitment to individuals with
special needs. She volunteers with Career Literacy
for African American Youth (CLAAY), a program of Duquesne
University's Institute for Economic Transformation
that involves one-on-one career mentoring, academic
tutoring, and programming. She also is active with
the Self Determination Movement, helping individuals
with disabilities to lead lives of independence and
self-determination. She helped establish The Ted Foundation,
where she assisted a person with Downs Syndrome become
incorporated as a foundation for the management of
his state and federal funding support. The Ted Foundation
is one of the first microboards to be established
as a 501(c)(3) organization in the nation. She also
has volunteered with the Child-Life Program at Children's
Hospital, Pittsburgh, to assist children, teens and
their families who are adjusting to illness and hospitalization;
and as a counselor with the Bereavement Ministry through
Pittsburgh Catholic Charities at St. Francis Cabrini
Church, in Aliquippa, PA.
In
2006, Pam was honored as a finalist for the ATHENA
Award of Beaver County, sponsored by the Beaver Valley
Business and Professional Women/USA. In a profile,
the Beaver County Times praised her work to provide
"support and assistance for entrepreneurial and established
women-owned businesses" and said that one of her clients
publicly said she wished she would have had the guidance
of Pam and the firm when she first started her business.
The award celebrates women who demonstrate excellence,
creativity and initiative in their business or profession,
as well as provides valuable service by contributing
time and energy to improve the quality of life for
others in the community, and actively assist women
in realizing their full leadership potential.
Prior
to joining Cottrill Arbutina, Pam was a registered
representative with Commonwealth Financial Network,
Inc. and the Prudential Life Insurance Company. She
graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor
of science in mathematics.
