Accounting – The business volume of Cottrill,
Arbutina & Associates, Inc. has grown dramatically
and today serves more than 2,000 clients, with offices
in four locations. The firm has set double-digit growth
records in volume each of the past seven years, including
a high profile acquisition of a tax and audit group
from S.R. Snodgrass, A.C. in Chippewa Township. In
2008, the Pittsburgh Business Times named the firm
as one of the 100 fastest-growing privately held businesses
in the region.
In
2008, the Beaver County Foundation presented Mr. Arbutina
and his colleague Dale
L. Cottrill, CPA with the Benjamin Franklin Entrepreneurship
Award honoring local companies that best capture Franklin's
pioneering and entrepreneurial spirit.
He
specializes in providing accounting, tax and business
advisory services to closely held businesses in a
variety of industries including manufacturing, professional
services, retail and not-for-profits. In addition,
he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL
PLANNER™ and has helped the
firm build a more comprehensive financial service
practice encompassing not only traditional tax and
accounting services but also business, investment
and estate planning. Earlier in his career, he was
a manager with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Pittsburgh.
While there, he provided both audit and tax services
to a diverse client base including publicly and privately-held
domestic and international companies.
Mr.
Arbutina is a member of the American and Pennsylvania
Institutes of Certified Public Accountants as well
as the Institute of Certified Financial Planners.
He is a former board director of Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Beaver County and as chair
of its annual auction has helped raise $100,000 over
the past several years. Previously, he served in leadership
capacities with the Beaver County Red Cross and the
Rotary Club of Beaver. He holds a bachelor's degree
from Gettysburg College and an MBA from the University
of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business.
