John “Jack” Ellsworth is shareholder with Big Four experience with more than two decades in the profession. In addition to holding a CPA and MBA, he is also a certified valuation analyst (CVA) who is experienced in assisting owners of closely held businesses with exit and succession planning, market valuations, and litigation support.
In addition to his valuation practice, Jack oversees audits for government and non-profit clients, consults with small business owners in improving and running their operations, and provides litigation support in business and personal matters. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and has served as a board member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.
Jack is a graduate of Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining Cottrill Arbutina, he served in financial upper-management positions in the health care industry.
Jack serves as a board member and treasurer of Angels’ Place, Inc., a non-profit organization providing services to single, low-income student parents and their children. He also serves as finance council chair at St. Benedict the Abbot church. He and wife Bridget live in Peters Township with their daughter and have two sons in college.
